Art and Crime.

As i say Art and Crime i mean by Graffiti. Graffiti is when you express your self by art it's an urban culture. As the artist create more Graffiti on different walls which it goes by "Tagging" the artist becomes more "street famous" as you see the tagger will leave a signature on the wall which it tells us who tagged the wall up. Graffiti was used primarily by political activists to make statements and street gangs to mark territory. It wasn't till the late 1960s that writing's current identity started to form. The history of the underground art movement known by many names, most commonly termed graffiti begins in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the mid to late '60s and is rooted in bombing. The writers who are credited with the first conscious bombing effort are CORNBREAD and COOL EARL. They wrote their names all over the city gaining attention from the community and local press. It is unclear whether this concept made its way to New York City via deliberate efforts or if was a spontaneous occurrence. One of the most famous taggers from New york was "TAKI 183" he was from the Washington Heights section in New York. Taki was his nick name his real name was Demetrius and 183 stands for the number of the street he lived in. He was employed as a foot messenger, so he was on the subway frequently and took advantage of it, doing motion tags. The appearance of this unusual name and numeral sparked public curiosity prompting the Times article. He was by no means the first writer or even the first king. He was however the first to be recognized outside the newly formed subculture. There are many famous street taggers like JULIO 204, FRANK 207 and JOE 136 they were also early street taggers from Brooklyn who were famous for the arts. There is many styles for tagging that's y every tagger has their own unique style of tagging since then many people have become Graffiti artist. It's a crime if you get caught while tagging up a wall it's called "Vandalism". In a case i read a book about a guy doing 11 years for tagging up walls in New York the Bronx.
he traveled the whole city at night with in his car and his trunk full of spray cans he will mark a wall my tagging up street life until one night he got caught tagging up and was fined with 6 thousand dollars. When he came out of jail he made a fun raiser by showing all his arts on paper it was a great success. Thanx for reading hope you enjoyed the history about Graffiti.

I know it's easy to imagine but its easier to just to "do" If you can't "do" what you imagine then what is imagination to you? Just a waste of space in your brain- Kid Cudi
