The Wackness

The Wackness is about a 17 year old kid named Luke, who is played by Drake Bell (you probably remember him from Drake & Josh) who's growing up in Manhattan of 1994. The story takes place in the Summer of '94 and in the ERA where hip-hop and slang were commonplace and were starting to catch ears and take it's toll on the youth of that time frame. Luke is a drug dealer that has just graduated high school and has to go through some life obstacles that he must face, as any normal city raised 17 year-old, drug dealing, high school graduate, would in the 90's. Problems like family issues, drug issues, and the worst of them all girl issues are portrayed throughout the movie. I seen this movie, and I loved it. It has a huge hip-hop undertone that's apparent throughout the entire film. If you pay attention to the background music and the music they talk about during the movie you can hear it's all 90's based. Of course since were talking about this being uprooted with hip-hop there's obviously a few graffiti references in the movie as well. This movie was taken from the Sundance Film Festival and came out in theatre's July 3rd. (hahahaha how ironic) You probably won't be able to catch a glimpse of this movie unless you go to a big city to watch it because it's limited to selected theatre's. I say go to one of these selected theatre's and watch it because this movie's worth it. It's a well made film. I'm going to give this one a 4 out of 5. Now watch this preview and see what you think.

Good movie! i just had to leave a comment for it

I know it's easy to imagine but its easier to just to "do" If you can't "do" what you imagine then what is imagination to you? Just a waste of space in your brain- Kid Cudi
