Artists of The Week

AESOP ROCK

Ok this man is a genius on the mic. He truly is an artist wit his voice he makes rapping abstract, and he truly does it well. His sound is unlike any others out their. He's lyrical level is far beyond comprehension and sometimes you just have to give up to listening all together and jus listen to him speak his slurred words of wisdom. He also is an artist as in paintings, graffitti, and the whole urban art scene. He truly is talented bcuz he can either pick up a pen and draw you something crazy or jus pick up the mic and do the same. Not many people can do that but this guy right here can. At first you might be skeptical about his sound and music (I wont lie i liked his music but i didn't really love it AT FIRST), but after awhile you notice his genius and hear his lyrics and they wayy his uses his voice to project it and before you know it his music just grows on you and you just want to hear more and more and start singing his tunes. This is one guy you'll never get sick of hearing him no matter how many times you press repeat on your ipod.

One of the names of a members from this newly formed group called Tequila Mockingbird may sound familiar you might've herd his name before, Travis Mccoy?? Have you herd of 'em? If not get with the program he's one of the most insane lyrcist in hip-hop right now. You Might know him from the band Gym Class Heroes and there new hit single "Clothes Off", or maybe "Cupid's Chokehold" which some people know as the take a look at my girlfriend song. Now he has a new side project called Tequila Mockingbird.Travie has teamed up with a white boy named Nicholas Scimeca and this dynamic duo is making a new sound of music and its coming out amazingly well. They only have two songs out now, "Snowglobe" and "Do You See" which are two very different sounds but are both amazing songs. Travie is doing big things and is bringing Nicholas up with him so keep an eye out for more updates on this dynamic duo. Now listen to this song and hear what i mean.

DIPLO

Now to hit the electro scene. Diplo is a DJ from Philedelphia. His music is taken mostly from the 80's he remixes it and makes it his own. He keeps his music deeply intuned with hip-hop while also strecthing the envelope and adding all sorts of instruments to make one big jumble of loveable mesh. He not thinking outside the box or inside the box Diplo is the box and he can change it into whatever shape and form he wants. His music is great to just sit back and listen to. He's making his way up there to the top with the big DJ's Like MSTRKRFT, JUSTICE, and A-TRAK. He's putting out beat's and i think it's finally time for him to get the recognition ho so justly diserves!

I know it's easy to imagine but its easier to just to "do" If you can't "do" what you imagine then what is imagination to you? Just a waste of space in your brain- Kid Cudi
